Looking for someone who knows how to create an app (unrelated to cars)

If you know how to make an app and are willing to sign a legal contract stipulating that you're fine with receiving half of the profit under all intents and purposes for said app so long as you deem it viable enough to move forward with it (and not back out of it), and that you will in no way shape or form utilize any information I personally relay with you before or after you make said decision with anyone else for monetary gain under penalty of illegal conduct, I will guarantee you that you will become rich so fast your head will spin.

I need someone to help put my idea into place. Make it happen, and I split all profits 50/50, since I'm no good at coding or development.

Once I find a developer and who I trust enough to share the information with, inside Canada or the USA that I can communicate solidly with and doesn't mind signing a stipulated legally binding contract, I will be deleting this post.

I'll also personally find a way to sweeten the deal for you if you are not a coder/developer but know someone who is that would be willing to help.

It requires the ability to utilize location data and other such services. That, and a chat function, is basically as high tech as it gets. I'll keep you informed, but I'm very serious when I say it's a great opportunity, and I wouldn't be putting it out there if I wasn't sure it wasn't worth while for someone on this continent that I can trust.

But trust would be the key word, because I've heard of a lot of horror stories (Mark Z, Napster, etc).

He's a great friend though. Paid for my trip out to SF to detail his cars and teach him how in the process. Also, not sure where you are, but he's in NoCal, near the bay area.

Those I can do. The issue though is turn around. I code as a secondary fun pass time and I'd be afraid I wouldn't be able to turn it around in the time you'd want. If you can't find anyone I'd be more than willing to throw my hat in. Good luck!

I'm in Toronto Canada. But through Google Hangouts and other such communication resources, I'd be able to handle the cards of what it is he needs to do (under clause that he not tell anyone what we're doing until a certain time period has passed, and doesn't sully the product only to bring it back again later on) on his end, and I'll feed him all I've thought on my end. I've sat down and put this on paper and personally even designed the layout. It's not just a "dreamer app", it's something I know could be as big as Flappy Bird, if not bigger. And I wouldn't want to waste the time of anyone if I didn't think otherwise.

Plus, once we got it going, I have another project he could get involved in that could make him even more money, but on a more app development (without the actual coding) front.

Also, I envy you for getting free trips to San Fran. But if you can get him on my side, give me 1 year and I'll make sure you have a free trip to anywhere you want in the world so long as he thinks the idea works.

Creating apps is not like traditional labor such as welding, for example. There is no guaranteed rate of pay and you usually split whatever (if any) profits after it's out.

I'm helping create a game that I'm going to port from PC to iOS when it's done. I'm not being payed anything right now. It's all a gamble, honestly.
